Good day

My Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300 router shows that the 2.4GHZ radio can be set up to 30dBm output power to the antenna, is this factually true ?

My experience with DDWRT for these routers was that you couldnt set it higher than about 17.5dBm, which I typically would verify by SSH'ing into the router and checking the ath0 radio parameters. (The power seems to be set at a maximum in some EPROM config.)

What are your views and experiences ?

If 30 dBm is actually true, great for me since it will give me greater radio range on this band.

Thanks

Good day

Are you saying that Gargoyle 1.8.1 has a de-restricted regulatory for these routers database and hence the possibility to up the power to 30dBm ?
