I bought my router from Gargoyle, the TL-WR1043ND
It has 1.6.2 firmware on it
I can find my way through things but I am not a techie
I am trying to run Open VPN client (to watch Netflix France form my adopted California
I got my config file from ExpressVPN and managed to install the configs manually and save.
However I have "Open VPN status: Not running"
I rebooted the router
No change
I looked up on the forum many posts, but did not find anything.
Since I have set up to allow non-OpenVPN traffic, my internet connection still works, but VPN does not.

Gargoyle is not setup for VPN providers

usually they require a user name and password

So then, and excuse the basic question again, how can I put my router behind VPN without installing a VPN server? Are there OpenVPN servers one can connect to using Gargoyle?

I can be done using command line but not usually with the GUI only

OK - can you point me to a page that walks step-by-step through the process with command line?
