Theme menu is not available in my WR841ND v9 firmware

I have installed Gargoyle 1.9.0 and also a nightly build from 1/4/2016 on my TP-WR841ND v9. Functionality wise it's been stable and no issue so far. I really like the simple GUI layout.
I came across a theme issue. I tried to install few theme from the plugin menu but could not get it to work. It looked like the installation went fine and the screen refreshed but i did not see the Theme menu in setting screen so I can switch to new theme.
Is there any package I need to install or modify or the specific router does not support this option due to space limitation?
