D-Link 2520 U Version z1

My router model D-Link 2520 U is listed in this http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start but the version is different as my router version is Z1. Is it safe to install it?
No.
Your device, all revisions, is not supported, and it is unlikely that it ever will be.
1. It is a modem/router. There are almost zero modem router combinations that support openwrt.
2. It only has 2mb of flash, openwrt barely fits on 2mb of flash. Gargoyle does not fit on anything smaller than 4mb
