Just reflashed to 1.2.4 which went through fine. Still cannot access 192.168.1.1. I have also setup a static ip of 192.168.1.3 but still nothing :|

Reflashed to 1.2.3 as per the device you sell and no luck again. Tried static of 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.0.2 no go :(

1) What method are you using to flash the router? Fon Flash is probably the easiest and most reliable to recover after a bad flash.

2) You mention you try to connect the router to another router right after flash. That will cause problems, because the ethernet port is initially configured as a LAN port, not a WAN port. Connect it to your PC as you did to start with.

3) Be aware that it can take the MR3201A longer than usual to boot after being flashed. Give it at least 2-3 minutes before you decide that it doesn't work.

Hi Eric, I think the main problem is I'm flashing with the wrong files. Which file is supposed to be in the roots/ kernel ? I'm using fonflash on a window 7 pc

You need to use the gargoyle_1.3.4-atheros-root.squashfs, as the rootfs file, and either gargoyle_1.3.4-atheros-vmlinux.lzma or gargoyle_1.3.4-atheros-vmlinux.gz for the kernel file (assuming your goal is to install 1.3.4 -- adjust the version number according to what you want to install).

If you use the .gz file, do NOT try to unzip it. (One person contacted me trying to get FonFlash working, and it turned out his problem was that he kept unzipping the kernel .gz file. Don't do that.)

Eric, Sorry to bug you but I two have purchased two of your MR3201A38NQ. One is great!!! The other one worked for awhile but now I can no longer get into it after something I did configuring it!!! I have usefully FALSH it to an "open-mesh" configuration. But I can’t find "under your download page" to move it back to gargoyle. Here are the files I seek
• gargoyle_x.x.xx-atheros-root.squashfs
• gargoyle_x.x.xx-atheros-vmlinux.lzma
that you speak of in this form, am I blind?

Waiting your reply before I can continue.
