TPLink Archer C7 V2 Wifi issues
Posted: Sat Dec 05, 2015 12:41 pm
Hi,
I am running Gargoyle 1.8.1 on TPLink archer C7. I understand that this release does not support wifi AC mode yet.
However I am not happy with performance of WIFI N. I tried it with my laptop capable of wifi N300 and phone capable of all the way up to AC. Both of this device could not reach beyond 25Mbps with both bands.
I have applied following patch and tried it but no luck.
In the file: /etc/config/wireless followed by restart of wireless with "wifi" command.
Please let me know what additional changes I could try ? Also if there is any way to revert back to original stock firmware then please let me know how to do that so that I can trial it with stock to see if TPLink Issue.
config wifi-device 'radio0'
option type 'mac80211'
option hwmode '11a'
option path 'pci0000:01/0000:01:00.0'
option htmode 'VHT80'
option channel '149'
config wifi-device 'radio1'
option type 'mac80211'
option hwmode '11g'
option path 'platform/qca955x_wmac'
option channel '6'
option htmode 'HT40+'
