Data Usage Not Working

I just installed Gargoyle on a new TP-Link Archer C7 and it works great except one little issue. Every computer, cell phone and tablet are all set up with the static IP and everything seems to work except for one laptop. My daughter has a laptop that is not registering any data usage at all in the Gargoyle page but is connected. I've reset the IP and MAC addresses but her computer is still not registering any data usage. I know she is using it because I have seen her browsing. The only difference her laptop has is it is Windows 10.

Is there any way Windows 10 could block the router from tracking the data usage?

Thanks

Just to add to this; I have tried to delete the settings in my router for my daughter's computer then changed the Static IP. I started her on 192.168.1.40-192.168.1.49 and then changed her over to 192.168.1.60-192.168.1.69. Her cell phone also connect so that is why there is a static IP range. Her laptop is the only thing not logging usage. Even my printer and Wii are logging data usage. This is very strange.

my only thought is, are you certain that the static ip you have assigned has taken?

i.e. you set 192.x.x.100, but because the device connected before you set the static ip, it is still using 192.x.x.200

Can you post a screenshot of your DHCP table?

Also the output of "ipconfig /all" run on the daughters computer.

I'm sure we can get this resolved for you.

Thanks for the reply. She could not connect so I ran the ipconfig/all and got the mac address from there. She is connecting and browsing with no problems but it is not recording the usage. When I check the "B/W Distribution" she shows up and says how much of the bandwidth her computer is using but the Quota Usage still shows 0%. Everyone else has usage including the printer and Wii console.

I tried to post a screenshot but get an error stating, "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

Here is what I have:

Host(s).......................... Active.....%Total Used..%down Used..%Up Used
192.168.1.60-192.168.1.69...Always........0% ............N/A...........N/A
192.168.1.10-192.168.1.19...Always.......2.185%........N/A...........N/A
192.168.1.30-192.168.1.39...Always......27.401%....... N/A...........N/A

There are more IP addresses but this should give you an idea. The first one is my daughter. Like I said, she shows up in the B/W Distribution but nothing is being logged. I set everything up the same for each device.

Edit: I have discovered the problem. My daughter's computer does not show the IP addresses properly or something very strange.

I used my old router to get all the connected device's Mac Addresses and entered them all into the new router with Gargoyle. My daughter laptop could not connect at all. I ran the ipconfig/all and looked up the Mac address. For some reason, there was another one I entered on the router and her computer connected and was working. Her computer showed up on the B/W Distribution but was not showing up on the usage. I eventually tried her computer connected to my old router and her Mac address was what I originally had it set to. I tried that again but she could not connect again. (Yes, I was getting very frustrated). I then deleted her from the DHCP list and re-entered everything again. It started working. Don't ask me why but I am happy it is now working.

I'm sorry i have been busy with my personal life. I am available now.

Pictures really will tell a thousand words here.

I need pictures of,
DHCP table
BW distribution showing the daughter appearing
Quotas settings and usage
ipconfig /all run from the daughters computer

Please upload them to something like
imgur.com and link to them here.

Once i have that i can duplicate your setup and see if it works for me and go from there.
Cheers,

Thanks Lantis but I have it working now. For some reason, the MAC address was not working right when I entered it into the DHCP. I used my old router's MAC address information for all my network devices but for some reason, my daughter's computer did not work. I did a complete re-flash of the firmware, re-entered all the MAC addresses and it still didn't work. I re-checked her MAC address using ipconfig/all but the same MAC address I had been entering would not work. I re-connected her computer to my old router and double checked the MAC address again but it was correct. I eventually had her sit beside me and worked on it. I connected her computer one more time and then went into the Status\Connected Hosts and copy and pasted her MAC address into the DHCP table. It worked. I guess my fat fingers or blurry vision was messing me up.

Thanks again for answering my post. So far, I love Gargoyle. I finally have control of my network and everyone's data usage. This billing cycle, my kids blew away 14Gig in one day and I only have 100Gig a month. Now, everyone has the same cap and once they reach it, they are cut off until the billing cycle resets.
