Looks like that's an ar71xx router with an ath9k wireless chip. While this is not currently supported in any existing release, I'm actually working on ath9k support right now.

If you're feeling REALLY adventurous, clone the ath9k branch of the git repository and compile that. Cross your fingers and it might work ;-)

I think there are a couple posts in the forums mentioning how
to do this and install seperately.

Keep in mind, that when you do this, Gargoyle only supports
Wireless-G currently, so you will probably not have any GUI
access to setup Wireless-N.

So you will probably have to do quite a bit of command line work,
i.e. go thru telnet to configure wireless-N settings.

-----------------------------

Editing because this is now available for download in 1.3.5 Gargoyle!

Check the downloads section.

I have a Buffalo wzr-hp-g300nh currently running dd-wrt and would like to try Gargoyle. I would appreciate some direction on the easiest or best method for getting gargoyle running on this router.

As I understand it, this router is now supported, but was not when the question was first asked.

Mine is coming in the mail... won't be here til Wednesday or
Thursday this week, so I haven't tried this myself.

I believe this one is for upgrading from within the GUI:

gargoyle_1.3.5-ar71xx-wzr-hp-g300nh-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

Since you already have DD-WRT on it, I think you should be able to
upgrade via the GUI and just flash the above build.

And this one below should be for upgrading via TFTP:

gargoyle_1.3.5-ar71xx-wzr-hp-g300nh-squashfs-tftp.bin

From dd-wrt try these commands from a ssh/telnet session.

cd /tmp

wget http://www.gargoyle-router.com/download ... pgrade.bin

mtd -e linux -r write original.trx linux

Becareful, it's not so easy to get back to dd-wrt or stock Buffalo firmware.

BTW Eric, the WZR-HP-G300NH also has a usb port. Looking forward to usb support :).

Thanks

You'll beable to go back to dd-wrt or to stock firmware if you want, it's just not as easy.

You'll have to either use the tftp flashing method or modify dd-wrt's firmware header using a hex editor.
