Hi,
If PPTP client (I'm using the gargoyle PPTP plugin) somehow looses connection to the server, how can you force it to automatically try reconnecting?

I think the problem is in storage. When the ROM is full, I think PPTP client writes some stuff, a log or something, to the ROM, the client is then broken. Is there any way to disable PPTP client writing log to the ROM? I'd get a router with more ROM storage (the current TP Link has only 4MB of ROM) but I fear the same thing, full ROM, will eventually happen.

Could something like this be a solution?

But instead of restarting the network service I would need to restart the PPTP service. But what's it called?

Hi, so to report back some things I noticed.
The PPTP plugin actually does try to reconnect automatically! But I works kinda strange. I setup one gargoyle router as a PPTP client 6 days ago (it is located like 200-300km away...), it worked for a couple of hours, but when I check the next day, it was down... And stayed down till today, it was down for like 6 days. Now its online for 15 hours. The router wasn't rebooted, its working for 6 days straight (its on UPS anyways). I'm quite sure that the internet connection was working - the 3g signal is great there and modem is also on UPS so it also didn't reboot. Can't check it tho, as I can't open new ports as the flash on the router is full.
