Help Blocking Domain

I am trying to set a rule to restrict access to USAA.com as a temporary security measure but I can't seem to make it work. I've replicated the "common scenarios" on how to stop access to Facebook but I can't seem to make it work.

I've tried to attach a screenshot but it says the board attachment quota has been reached.

Is there anything else I can try other than the Facebook example?

Also, when does the board attachment quota reset?

New router with 1.8 installed.

Upload images to Imgur, then link to here using

Code: Select all

Also see here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... =460#p2368

The website you are referring to seems to default to HTTPS which means you cannot block my domain.

I've ran nslookup several times, each time getting a different ip address, and then running whois as indicated in the Common Scenario. Each time it returns Akamai, which is strange but its consistent.

Even after entering all the IP addresses that I get from nslookup and whois, the website still is not blocked.

Well that is interesting.
I created the exact same rule as you, and i could no longer access the website in question.

Can you test from a different browser, or from a private browsing mode (like Incognito on chrome) just to make sure it isn't loading from cache?

No luck. Different browsers, different computers, all can still access it.

Just an update, I continue to run nslookup and try to update my rule, but still no success. This is what it looks like now.

As you can see, I have a specific IP block on the address it returns.

Are your devices using the router as their DNS?

I have the setting clicked to "force clients to use Router DNS services", which goes through OpenDNS. Dynamic DNS is enabled and set to check every 15 minutes and force update every 3 days.
