Accessing Bridged Modem

I recently setup gargoyle v 1.8.0 on TP-Link 1043nd v2.1. I have setup my modem D-Link 2750u in bridge mode and connect the router using ppoe and entering the credentials.
Everything works fine, I get internet access as usual, but I can no longer view the modems configuration page, which shows valuable statistics regarding DSL. I changed my modem ip from default 192.168.10.1 to 10.0.0.1 but still cannot connect. Router has default ip of 192.168.1.1 also both router and modem have same submask i.e. 255.255.255.0
What should I do to gain access to the modem webpage?

Also when I setup the modem in bridged mode it shows NAT as disabled, I have not enabled NAT in gargoyle, enabling upnp and nat in gargoyle breaks internet access. Should I leave them disabled?

You need to leave DHCP enabled on the modem. Disable NAT.

Enabling NAT and upnp on gargolye should be fine. That's exactly how mine is setup.

enabling upnp/nat works... just had to wait a little bit to get internet access. Regarding the modem access problem what should I do?

Modem show no DHCP service for lan ports... only for wifi which I have disabled... only two options I get for LAN settings is a single ip address which I set to 10.0.0.1 and netmask which is set to 225.225.225.0

I would like to add that since I have started using bridge mode the router seems to randomly disconnect from the internet, tried looking through the logread plugin but understood nothing. The modem has stable DSL connection throughout the day, only the router seems to disconnect.
Should I revert back to wired DHCP mode?

I finally got access to the modem by following the guide here:

http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... ridge_mode

I changed my modem ip back to 192.168.10.1 (the default) and using winscp edited the file mentioned in the guide.

Well done - and thanks for reporting back. What could we change to have made your route easier?

For one thing being new to this entire scene I have very little know how regarding editing configuration files in the router and couldn't find any easy guide/tutorial mentioning how to do this, however the adsl modem access guide was easy to understand and using a gui tool like winscp made editing stuff a lot easier.
