WZR-600DHP - Wireless speed and stability

Hi,

I have been using DD-WRT on my Buffalo WZR-600DHP for the last few years. While it has been okay, I can't help but wonder what possibilities exist with the Openwrt releases. Also, DD-WRT is limiting my txt power to 18db right now and apparently this is one of many bugs plaguing the firmware for the 600DHP.

Could people chime in on their experience with Gargoyle and the WZR-600DHP? How do you find the wireless stability? How are your speeds?

Thanks!

Just an update on this.

I installed the most recent build (1.8.0) through telneting into the router and using the wget command to install the 1.6.1 build. I then upgraded via gui to 1.8.0.

Everything seems to be rock solid on the router although wireless tx rates are still limited to 18db for 2.4ghz and 15db for 5ghz.

this could be to do with a localisation policy for some countries.

search for "openwrt reg hack" for more information.
sometimes it is as simple as setting your country in your wifi config.

we had a large discussion on this some time ago but i can't find the thread.
