Gargoyle TPLINK WDR4300

Hi!
I'm wondering to install Gargoyle in a WDR4300. First of all, It's an office router, which will work on 24/7. At this moment, it's running the latest original firmware, running ok so far. My question is, should I install? What is the most stable firm version? 1.6.2? 1.7.1? Should I concern about wifi stability?

1.7.2 is reasonably stable and is the one you should go for in my opinion.
In an office environment it should be fine.
I'd recommend a scheduled reboot once a week just to keep it fresh (something like 3am on a Sunday or whatever time works for your situation).

What do you think about performance? Does it will reach a bigger wifi range? I'll consider one reboot per week.

Wifi performance should be more or less the same.
It's only added functionality, not really additional physical capability.

I have just switched all my production networks to 1.7.2.x
In my opinion this version is very stable
Having said that as a rules of thumb I don't believe the wifi drivers are as stable as OEM ones.
case in point

Note: The 802.11ac WLAN↔LAN throughput of Archer C7 2.0 with OpenWrt Chaos Calmer RC3 was measured to be substantially lower than that of the native firmware. (450 to 500Mbps with OpenWrt vs. 750 to 800Mbps with native firmware, both measured under conditions close to ideal). See this thread for details.
