Gargoyle on DIR600

Just curious here, was given a dir-600 today and was wondering if I could flash it with gargoyle by using the same procedure to flash the dir-300's. I did a quick bit of reading and dd-wrt appears possible.
The specific Version is B1 with stock firmware version 2.00.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Nope - don't do it!
Can't do it the same way because completely different hardware.
DIR-300 is Atheros based chipset.
DIR-600 is RaLink based chipset.
Currently only DD-WRT supports these.
I THINK that OpenWRT may support RaLink soon.
Gargoyle images are currently Atheros & Broadcom chipsets.

Curious again if any of the newer versions of gargoyle work on the dir600.
I thought I heard something about RaLink devices working? Or I might be hearing things
Any one have thoughts on this?
Cheers,
Daniel

I don't see full support for this in OpenWRT yet.
Gargoyle is an interface to the OpenWRT firmware.
It adds extra stuff and Eric will sometimes fix OpenWRT issues
in this firmware as well, but if the base OpenWRT does not
support the device, Gargoyle will not support it either.
I own a couple RaLink devices, and while good, are rather cheap.
It's a waiting game on those.

Thanks DoesItMatter. I'll see if I can follow progress on there. I can be hopeful one day
