I am not an IT guy.
I do not know which is the right gargoyle firmware for TP-Link WDR4300 v1.7.

Can you please recommend by showing the URL?

For theWDR4300 1.7 you need to go to http://www.gargoyle-router.com/download.php and select
Download: Firmware images
Architecture: Atheros AR71XX
Branch: 1.6 (stable)
Version: 1.6.2

and click on:
gargoyle_1.6.2-ar71xx-generic-tl-wdr4300-v1-squashfs-factory.bin
(this assumes that the WDR4300 currently has factory firmware)
