RTL8187 as wireless client

Hi.

First of all, I would like to thank the firmware developers for the fantastic work they have done on Gargoyle. I have a WD MyNet N600 that I bought for AUD$5 on special and have been using it with OpenWRT. But as I was looking for a way to control the quota and bandwidth for my wireless clients (teenagers at home). Gargoyle is perfect for me and works great.

Now I would like to add a 3rd radio to my setup in the form of a Alfa Awus036H (RTL8187). I tried to get it to work on OpenWRT and was able to load the drivers and add the radio in the wireless config (Luci). Unfortunately , I can't do the same in Gargoyle. I was able to load all the necessary drivers, but the radio does not show up or does not load after doing: detect wifi >> / etc / config / wireless.

In brief, I have a wifi router with two radios (dual band router). They are both configured as access points. Clients connect to the router via wifi only.
I want to add a third radio, configure it as client (connected to a free wifi network, such as McDonalds Free WiFI), and share this free wifi to my wireless clients.

Please help...

P.s: Is there a way to configure the radios separately in the interface? I am running Gargoyle 1.6.2.2 (r42647) by obsy

Some more details:

In the connection tab/Internet Wan, there is a mode called DHCP wired which I use for sharing my internet connection from my modem to the internet port on the router.

In the same tab, there is also a mode called DHCP wireless which allows the router to be used as Client+AP. I want to use this mode but instead of using one of the internal radios, I want to use the RTL8187 connected to USB.

Lastly, there is also a mode called 3G (GSM/NDIS) which allows me to choose from a device connected to the usb port (/dev/ttyUSB0). Any way to use this mode with the RTL8187?
