Bandwidth per ip

Hello everyone,

First post on the forum.

I just flashed my WNDR3800 with Gargoyle today an I was trying to set up a QoS.
I wanted to know if Gorgoyle could allow me to cap the Bandwidth usage (speed) per ip connected. I've had a look the the Quotas option. I seems like it's not exactly what I want. I do not mind if people download/youtube a lot, as long their download/streaming speed is low.
I would like to allow my desktop to use saying 50% of the broadband and my share mates to share the rest.
What I did so far is setting up a quotas of 0.1Mb Download and 0.01Mb uplaod and I then throttle the speed past this quotas. Is that the only way to do it ?

Besides this issue I would like to know how to set up a QoS allowing gaming from my desktop not to lag out ? (That is actually my main purpose in this QoS setup; see above)

Thanks everyone

The best way is to use:
QoS - http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=qos
and
Quotas - http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=quotas

Have a read, and have a play, then when you get stuck come back with some screenshots or lists of your settings and we'll see where you went wrong :)
