1.7.0 BAndwidth stats are wrong

Hi,
I was checking daily bandwith stats on my network from some random purpose when I happened to notice that my office computer downloaded 2G yestesday. But yesterday I downloaded on that computer a 6GB ISO from a vendor FTP server. The hourly stats are also wrong.
Since I am using the quota feature to restrict access, I am wondering if the quota work at all, since the counting of bandwidth is skewed.
