3g modem option missing in version 1.7

I have installed factory 1.7 version of Gargoyle on TPLINK 1043ND, but now I don't have the 3G modem option. I had it before on 1.6.2.
I am using Alcatel X200D modem, I have installed minicom and connected to /dev/ttyUSB2. What could be the problem?
