Break Out of an Endless Boot TFTP instal

It looks like I am stuck. Can't get into my router: TL-WR841N Ver 9.1 to stop rebooting.

After I attempted to install OpenWrt, it continues to reboot and all lights flash with each boot.

Typing tpl doesn't stop it. It gives me the error of:

## Booting image at 9f020000 ...
Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Too big uncompressed streamLZMA ERROR 1 - must RESET board to recover

Anyone have any advice to help me?

I should also say that before this problem, I was unable to get the reset button to do anything... even using the 30/30/30 reset. And this was part of the reason I was trying to intall OpenWrt to see if the reset button would start working. I've ohmed out the button and electrically it is good.

Try Failsafe reset
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.failsafe

If that doesn't work try serial cable

I doubt failsafe is going to work for you since OpenWRT is unable to boot.

On the page referenced by ispyisall there are directions on how to use a serial cable to interrupt the bootloader boot cycle and then load an new firmware image via TFTP. It called "TFTP Install". I think that will be your path to recovery.

Once it is recovered you might want to consider putting uboot on there so that if this ever happens again you can recover via Ethernet.
