How to test QoS ?

I recently use Gargoyle QoS on OpenWrt, and I did some change to it.
So I have to use tools to test whether my QoS works right or not.
I really am eagering to know how you test your QoS functions? Use IxChariot or other tools ?

Check your connections page on your router to see that all connections are in the proper classes, Then check that the classes have the appropriate bandwidth when the link is saturated.

So in Gaygoyle QoS, you write your own functions(qosmon?) to test whether gargoyle QoS is working right or not. And there is no need to use other tools like IxChariot to test it ?
Did those functions works right on OpenWrt Adjustment ? At present I can only make qos-gargoyle.init work without qosmon. It will throw errors when I want to compile qosmon. So I cannot use that function. That is why I ask whether there exists other method to test QoS. I'm sorry I didn't make my situation clear.

I miss-understood you as well, you are trying to use qosmon on OpenWRT.
If you are getting errors from qosmon then you have not ported Gargoyle QoS to OpenWRT properly.
In Gargoyle we use Gargoyle functions and screens to test QoS. You are going to have to develop your own tools if you used AA. I have never heard of IxChariot.

In your bandwidth monitoring within Gargole you have pie charts on one of your monitoring pages. It measures usage for your ip's as well the speeds of the connections, fast, normal slow.
To test your QOS you can assign a certain IP a selected speed like slow.
Use the device in question and see if the usage for that device is being monitored as "slow" for the speed. You will see it in the pie graph. You can even change the speed to a custom speed to what ever you want.

With many video streaming sites using HTTPS, it's difficult to catch it.
I'm not sure what your goal is - but I suppose you could treat it like downloads (ie. any download over X MB, then assigning minimum or maximum bandwidth depending on what your goal is)... but even that could be difficult with multiple computers on the network.
