Which mode?

I haven't much experience with Gargoyle, so I could use some advice to get me started. I have an existing Outdoor Wireless Network in a community of all steel homes. Getting a wireless signal indoors is a challenge. I have used outdoor wireless bridge devices hardwired to an indoor router with good success, but would like to simplify the configuration to reduce hardware cost. I have seen references to WDS and Bridge/AP modes which may allow me to use a single device to act as a client bridge for ethernet interface to one computer, while distributing the common network connection throughout the home via the wireless AP. Is Gargoyle capable of supporting the Bridge/AP mode? I have a bunch of FON2200B generic routers that I would like to recycle for this use.

Thanks!

Yes, Gargoyle does have that mode.

It's called Client + AP mode.

Under the Connection -> Basic tab

Configure device as: Gateway

Under Internet/Wan - Connect Via Static or Dynamic Wireless

Under Wireless Mode - choose Client + AP

There is also Wireless Bridge mode where you can connect and also
repeat the signal.

Not entirely sure what type you need, but Gargoyle should work.

If you don't need a lot of the QoS or Quota stuff, I would
recommend flashing version 1.0.16 on your Fon's.

That build is very good on memory usage and pretty stable.

WDS should also do what you want. And as the Fon2200's are Atheros based that should work fine.
