Extremely low speeds TPL WDR-3600

I have 30 down 4 up. My upload normally stays in the 3.5 area but my download likes to drop below 5. Pings sometimes shoot up into the 300s. This never happens on stock firmware. Stock firmware just has horrible bandwidth rule settings. I need a real QOS. DD-WRTs isn't as easily managed as Gargoyle's but speeds never drop that far. I want to stick with Gargoyle, but don't know what other options I have.

Only Gargoyle adjusts your download link speed to maintain your ping times. So I am not sure what is the point of comparing it to other firmwares or how you even did it as you say you did. If you do not want this feature you can disable ACC and it will work like DD-WRT and your stock firmware.

ACC assumes that high ping times can be avoided by reducing the link speed. This is true up to a limit. There is a ping time that you cannot go below regardless of your link speed. Gargoyle tries to calculate an optimum ping limit but you can try other (higher) values and see if that works better.

You did not provide and description of when you have problems and when you do not have problems. That difference might be of interest to you as you study what is happening.

The drops vary in time and length. I haven't thought about disabling ACC. I will do that and report back in 24hrs with a more full description if problems persist.

ACC was definitely my issue. I haven't had a significant drop since turning it off. My ping is still in the teens as well. Thanks, pbix.

If the ACC was issue, than you have something wrong with QOS settings really.
