Latest 1.6 on WR1043 v1 fails

Anyone have success installing this, I downloaded the correct upgrade file for v1 (I am specifically 1.10 at the moment and currently on gargoyle 1.4 stable and the upgrade popup just stays forever when I try and it never gets upgraded.
Any advisement on another approach or am I doing something wrong?

i noticed that sometimes on some browser update is not working well ... try different browser

I tried both IE9 and Chrome

just a small update - just tried on an older IE and got it to go through
IE8 btw

i usually using FF but from 1.5.11 (i think) worked ok with chrome
