New installation on TP-Link WR741ND

Hello,
I just brought a TP-Link WR741ND v4. I need set it up as client bridge and I found out that the factory firmware doeen't give me that option. So last night I flashed it to DDWRT but I couldn't figure out how to do it. SO I googled again and finally found this place.
Now my first question is : Do I need to restore factory firmware before flash Gargoyle? Can I just use the DDWRT web interface to flash the Gargoyle?
