SMCWBR11-G(Fonera+) Strangeness

Hi, I have Gargoyle running as a gateway on the SMCWBR11-G. This device has a wired LAN port and a WAN port. I've managed to setup wireless and its working as expected but if I connect to the LAN port it appears to bridge the WAN and LAN port and my laptop gets an IP address on the Hotel network.
When I first setup Gargoyle this was very confusing as I couldn't ssh or use the web client after setting the WAN port as wired(DHCP Wired) as I was expecting it to be on 192... and it moved to 172...
Can you point me in the right direction?
regards
Stone..

I wonder if I have bricked it.....
Telnet connects and I get a prompt telling me the router will boot in X.XX seconds but if I hit ^c nothing happens.
Same if I just leave the router to startup... I tried Fonflash(Which worked before) and it stops after displaying the peer/client mac/ip addresses.
Am I hooped?
Stone.

Well redboot is still working and I loaded Openwrt.
FonFlash is not working and after a reset I cannot access the router.
....perhaps the boot script is not working?

After more searching - Reboot is not booting - I have to load the kernal and exec.... at least that is fixable and the router is still working.
All I have to do now is work out how to change the bridging between the WAN and LAN ports and configure the router to use a proxy. The hotel connection is getting worse although I can't work out what is going on.

I've been rather busy so I haven't had a chance to check this until now -- sorry. I just tested 1.1.7 on my Fon+ in the configuration you describe and it seems to work.
The fact FonFlash worked before and is failing now sounds like it might be a hardware issue. You suggest there may be some issue with the boot script in Redboot -- when you login via telnet what do you find is in the current boot script?

Hi Eric, I managed to fix it. The Redboot script was empty.
Thanks for a great tool - Only thing now is I have to figure out how to configure the use the LAN port as I would like.
cheers
Paul.
