Hello!

Today I bought TP-Link TL-WR842ND v2 router. On download page I found firmware image only for v1. Would this firmware work on my router?

Here is link to OpenWRT wiki, where it says OpenWRT is supported on version 2: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr842nd

This is an old thread but As I bricked my 842nd v2 with v1 I should warn anyone who want to do that this is completely risky.
Fortunately as I upgraded from openwrt failsafe mode was working and I returned router to its stock firmware with OpenWrt solution here:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr842nd

Thanks for posting this. Hoping for 1.9.X WR842NDv2 support some time in the future.
