I found this link which contains someone's source code to compile HG255D for Gargoyle

If anyone is trying to add support for HG255D to their build config, I recommend you use this patch
https://dev.openwrt.org.cn/changeset/682
along with these two files from the github above because this patch doesn't contain these two files
/target/linux/ramips/files/arch/mips/ralink/rt305x/mach-hg255d.c
/target/linux/ramips/rt305x/profiles/hg255d.mk

Right now, Attitude Adjustment port of this router is not present in the Openwrt repository but this router's build file is found in the Barrier Breaker branch. Interestingly, this router's build file can be found in Openwrt China's backfire repository but not on Openwrt.org's repository.

I hope this information will be useful for someone.

Note: this is RT3052 based router.

I found out that using HG255D, if channel width is set to 40Mhz and higher.
Channel cannot be set to 9 or higher.

If set to Channel 9 or higher, it will cause the WIFI to have problems or disappear completely. If you made a backup before you change your WIFI configuration, you can restored it using backup though.

But I can't connect anywhere. I'd also like to have this run in the background and on startup, and specify for it to only route through the vpn for netflix, but I have no idea how to do that either :p
