I'd like to try rebuilding a x86_64 target for use with lxc containers on Ubuntu 14.04 and wondering if anyone could give me some clues where to start?

Even better, seeing as I am on a x86_64 host and want to build a x86_64 target, would it be possible to avoid the cross compilation step and build at least the core firmware and a few dozen packages? I don't need a kernel or grub for LXC containers.

Saving/restoring all configuration is ok, but as i have understood - it just saves the whole flash area in the file, so it is working well only for the same hardware and the same gargoyle version. Would be nice to have plugin to save/load these two tables to/from (text?) file on a hardware-independent way, something like import/export to/from xml-file or csv-file.
