Is this the correct image for the Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G Opensource All-In-One (LKS4618), from reading the docs it looks like the right one.

gargoyle_1.1.6-wrt54g-squashfs.bin

Thanks

gargoyle_1.1.6-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx

gargoyle_1.1.6-wrt54g-squashfs.bin

---------------------------------

Either of those should work on your WRT54GL router.

I think the TRX is for first-time flashing, and then you can flash
the specific .bin's depending on the router you have.

Am pretty sure the wrt54g image is for any of the early wrt54g's
as well as the wrt54gl and wrt54g-TM - tmobile router.

DoesItMatter: you have it backwards. The .bin files contain a small extra header so that you can install the .bin from the original linksys factory firmware. The .trx file is generic, and mostly for upgrading once any of the open-source firmwares (eg. Gargoyle, Tomato, DD-WRT) are installed.

gargoyle_1.1.6-wrt54g-squashfs.bin is definitely the file you want for the WRT54GL

Awesome, I didn't know that - heh!

Good info for me too!

I'll be flashing that WRT54G-TM to Gargoyle soon!
