4G/LTE interference??

Hi all,

I have a TPLink 1043ND running the latest Gargoyle firmware 1.5.11 here in the UK.... it's be running absolutely fine... occasionally it needs a reboot but generally it is very reliable and offers good wifi connectivity.

My home unfortunately is about 10 metres/30 feet from a 12M/36ft mobile phone mast and this appears to have just been upgraded to 4G. Here in the UK the 4G band is around 800Mhz I believe and can affect Freeview TV service.... consequently as of yesterday we no longer have any Freeview TV channels and need to be sent a 4G/LTE filter.

Also yesterday I started having problems with my TPLink router's wifi. I have tried numerous devices and all can see the SSID of the router and can connect quite happily but there is not data traffic (or at least the packets seem to be lost). I've tried various things to get around this in the settings but I still have the same problem. As a further test I connected my Virgin Media "Superhub" that I had been running in modem mode, enabling wifi. My devices can connect wirelessly to this although the range appears to me fairly poor.

So I'm unsure if
1. the TPLink hardware is at fault?
2. If this is a router software issue (but then why would it suddenly just happen?).
3. If due to it's close proximity to the home the Mast outside is affect my wifi traffic?

Any thoughts please?

Thanks.
