I found this cisco discussion about antennas, and there is an attached spreadsheet doing distance calculations. Looks good.

I would still love to hear from anyone who has used Gargoyle for long distance point to point wifi

The link distance is 1km. Do I need to adjust any wireless timing parameters? How can I do that at the command line?

http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/deta ... A5210G#fea talks about "Distance Adjustment for long range transmission, up to 50km". Obviously I will not be using their firmware, but I am wondering about similar adjustments to Gargoyle.
