TP-link WR1043NDc can't access webgui

I have my router's ip set to 192.168.122.1, but it only sporadically replies to pings. I've noticed that I can access webgui directly after a reboot, but this is cumbersome. I somehow still have internet access through it, so I suppose the router is doing such a good job of passing on my packets it is missing the ones I meant for it to receive. :P

Is there a way to consistently get into webgui? I'd rather not have to change my computers ipv4 settings or reboot something each time I want to access it, but so far I'm not seeing any alternative..

Re-flash - do not save settings - re-configure fresh

Backup your current configuration first

The re-flash and reset to defaults will help you determine whether
or not your hardware has gone faulty

If the re-flash and resetting to defaults allows you to consistently
get into the GUI - then you can try re-load your old config

If re-loading the old config causes the intermittent issues, your
config has gotten corrupted, so once again re-flash, reset to defaults,
and re-configure fresh (DO NOT load the old config)
