NVRAM on 1.1.3

Hello,

I'm running Gargoyle 1.1.3 on EnGenius 3500. Following the install I get console (SSH) access and try to view hardware information using "NVRAM SHOW" (as I'm used to on Asus mips equipment). It appears NVRAM command is not available. Do any of the images include NVRAM command or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Gargoyle does not use NVRAM at all

It actually uses configuration files.

You can use the GUI to edit the configs, or manually go into
the router and edit configs (not recommended)

Thank you for your reply. I was not looking for the configuration information, but rather hardware specific information stored in NVRAM such as rotuer make, model number, board info, firmware, memory, etc. that are usually stored in NVRAM. Is there any way to access NVRAM information from Gargoyle? Are you able to include the tool for doing so?

Best

We are trying to test our infrastructure management software on your build of OpenWRT and need access to NVRAM information. If this is possible, we would continue to use your build of OpenWRT.

you should use simple linux commands for this ,like a top,ps,dmesg etc..
there is no nvram in kamikaze builds at all i think.

with a 8mb flash there is no need to use nvram partition and setting tool: there is a jffs2 partition writable, mounted I think in /var
all user settings are stored there: you can also put other applications in, till the partition space is available
