I had a working OpenWrt installation for a day, but I wanted to try Gargoyle. Now can not access my router settings. I can ping the router, and I see the login screen on 192.168.1.1, but it does not accept "password".

I tried the 30-30-30 reset, but nothing changed.

I tried to access the router with putty, setting it to 192.168.1.1 port 23. A black screen appears, no prompt, just a cursor blinking. No matter what I write, nothing happens.

I even tried this from the Gargoyle forum: "Power up your router. When the 'SYS' light starts to blink, press and hold the 'QSS' button in the front-right until the blinking gets faster. Now open a telnet session to 192.168.1.1. No user name or password required."

Could you please help me?

If you upgraded from OpenWRT, you might be able to try
the password that you used in OpenWRT

Since Gargoyle has OpenWRT underneath the hood, it may work.

Failsafe mode should always work, but if you cannot get in that way
you'll have to look at Serial Recovery

What kind of router do you have? (Make/Model/Hardware Version)

I have tried the openwrt password as well. Did not work.
The router is a tplink 1043nd v1.8.
Could you give a link to the failsafe guide? I am browsing from my phone with limited data, I would rather not search.
