Currently I'm using

2.4GHz 6dBi Indoor Directional Antenna

+ Default 5dbi antenna
Signal strength ~40% as mentioned in Gargoyle.

Tp-link 741ND on both ends.

Anything over 25 meters - especially if you know where the
signal should be going - would require directional antennas
on BOTH routers - the receiving and sending

And if it's a 3-antenna system - you'd need 3 directional antennas
on each device

When you use directional, your close wireless will also decrease
in signal unless you are in the path of the directional antennas

If you are trying to connect 2 buildings/locations via
line of sight connect - google for cantennas

Omni-directional are only good for close range and can pick up
lots of noise if the devices are not close in range and there is
lots of interference around (microwaves, 2.4ghz phones, other wireless)

Cantennas or good directionals can focus and direct the
wireless signal as well as reduce noise levels/interference.

Can I use RG6 cable upto 3fts long with a custom made Panel antenna instead of a Cantenna. Connectors aren't available easily.
