Hi, I have a WRT54GS V1 and installed gargoyle_1.4.7-wrt54gs-squashfs with no problems. As I already have a modem/router (Speedtouch ST585v6sl), I wanted to use the WRT54GS as an extra wireless connection

Not too sure as to what to do I changed the setting in the Connection settings (under Basic). I selected it as a Wireless Bridge/Repeater and told it the bridge IP was 192.168.1.253 and the AP/Gateway IP is 192.168.1.254

now I can't access the router at all in any way that I've tried. When I boot it up the various lights come on doing different things but I don't know if this is normal behaviour or it's now broken

any suggestions as to what to do to get this working again? :?:

this is a very exciting video of the bootup and the list below is what happens when

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fm6Ed5sYpY&hd=1
  • the Power/DMZ/WLAN all light up for a fraction of a second and then go off
  • the 1/2/3/4 & Internet all light up for a fraction of a second and then go off and do this twice very quickly
  • the Power flashes around 3 times a second
  • around 18 secs the DMZ light comes on and stays on
  • the Power stops flashing after 1min 13secs and stays on
  • WLAN starts flickering now and then and then comes on and goes off and repeats this again and again
  • around 1min 39 secs DMZ light goes off
  • Power light still on constantly while WLAN keeps flickering now and then and then comes on fully and then goes off and repeats

I don't know how I've done it but I'm back into the router! 8-). I've been using a Network Scanner and plugging in the cables and noticed the router appeared briefly. So I tried the IP address in the browser and it showed me the login. After around 20 attempts I finally got my password right!

just need to know how to set it up now with my router/modem without breaking it again!
