Phone tree failure?

I recently install Gargoyle v1.5.9 on Netgear WNDR3700, and everything is working fine except that I can no longer navigate phone trees. I'm using a Linksys/Cisco PAP2 for VOIP, which worked fine with tomatoUSB 1.28 on an Asus router.

Any suggestions on what to try?
Thanks!

What does "navigate phone trees" mean?

I have a PAP2 that works fine with Gargoyle.

By "navigate phone trees" as in "Press 1 for Service Dept, press 2 for Sales, press 3 for all other calls". Phone tree might be the wrong term, and that would explain my googe failures.

Thanks pbix

On my Linksys PAP2T, I click on the Line 1 tab & see the SIP port of 5060.

Is that port forwarded in Gargoyle on http://192.168.1.1/port_forwarding.sh - you may need to give the PAP2T a static IP on http://192.168.1.1/dhcp.sh

They are called DTMF tones. On the same Line1 page on the PAP2T, there is "DTMF Tx Method". Sometimes you have to change the transmission mode depending on the phone system.

Yes DTMF tones, thanks BashfulBladder. Having the right terms makes for better searching :) I've found some things for me to try when I get home.

@pbix I've been using the PAP2T with voip.ms happily for quiet some time, but, there are so many settings on both PAP2T and voip.ms to tweak...I could easily have one mis-configured. Couple that with the WNDR3700v1 having been a freebie, it is possible that it has something problematic with it...

Thanks!

I use voip.ms myself.

The voice prompt menu they have is entirely managed in their system and does not involve Gargoyle.

I cannot see how Gargoyle can be involved in this issue.

I agree pbix, but Gargoyle and the WNDR3700v1 where what changed so it was a logical place to start, hence the posting.

As a matter of interesting what "DTMF Tx Method" are you using on voip.ms?

Thanks!
