Quota merge = quota reset

Hi,
In the bandwidth quota, I noticed that every time I add/remove IP address within a single quota group. It will results in a reset in the quota of ALL the IP address listed in that group...
is it possible to merge the quota usage of all the IP addresses listed in the quota group instead of clearing the quota every time I make this change?
Yes, I am doing this on the latest gargoyle ROM, 1.5.8.
