It would be great to have one more column in mac filter list - hostname column to increase usability.

I've been wanting this in the last few routers that I have owned. You put a MAC address in there, and once its in there it doesn't mean anything especially if name resolution fails (Android phones etc).

I'd really like a way of putting a column in there for "device name", but with the ability to manually set it.

If you set them up with static ip's you can insert a host name there if they don't have one.

Yes, this is what i mean. If static ip (and host name for ip) was defined for this mac - then show that name, else allow to define a name.

P.S: Lacking such feature for more than year, but only now
I have decided to fill feature request. It would be EXTREMELY usefull.

I'm confused :) Persumably you mean select names by hostname rather than IP. the hostname does get prefilled if one exists in the dhcp static ip area

** I just have a list of my addresses/mac addresses and host names in a notepad file to refer to.
