Hello All,

I have a netgear WNDR3700v2 and i have been having issues with my wireless dropping. one minute i have full signal and then i have nothing.. this happens more with the xbox and not so much with the laptops..i have set the QOS by mac for the one xbox but that did nothing to help

i need to get more out of the router performance wise. when doing a speed test on my wired computer i am pulling 60 megs down and 20 megs up. now with my laptop i am lucky to pull 10 megs down and 2 megs up..

i have the following hooked up to the router
1 hardwired computer (used once in a wile mostly it is off)
4 wireless laptops ( on 80% of the time)
2 linux servers (on 24-7-365)
2 xboxs
2 to 3 cell phones ( on when home at night)

my questions are will gargoyle help with my issues of dropping signal strength.

will it handle the server loads (with the current setup the servers run with no issues)

what version of gargoyle should i use i seen there are a ton of different versions i dont know what one to select

i have flashed updated firmware to the router and it is current, but i have never flashed an after market firmware.

It depends on whether the wireless issue is a HW or a SW based one. I have a 3700 v2 and have not seen poor wireless performance but obviously can't guarantee it.

The good news it is very easy to put Gargoyle on this router

Then use your current router page to update the firmware, once it updates it will be on the latest Gargoyle firmware. From then on for further updates you just use the sysupgrade.

I can't remember how you revert if you need to but i'm pretty sure it's been posted before or someone can assist in that matter,
