Hi
I'm running Gargoyle 1.5.5 on a WNDR3700.
I'd like to be able to remote ssh access this router from my mac (OS X) when I'm traveling. However, I'm very unfamiliar with ssh on how it works, if I need a client (and which one) and how to set it up.
Could someone please explain this to me?
Thanks!

why?
you need to open port 22 then install a SSH client on your computer
windows users usually use putty
note: opening ports like 22 is a security risk
Use OpenVPN instead

Thanks for you reply.
I be away for an extended period and in case their are any issues with the router, I would need to access it remotely to help my parents.
So I should use OpenVPN to access my router remotely? Could you please give me a brief run down on how this would help/what I need to do (I'll read up on it as well) just to get started.
Thanks!
