Which trx file for WRT54GL?

OK, I have Gargoyle already (v1.0.0) and a Linksys WRT54GL... The install guide says to use the Broadcom trx file ("gargoyle_1.0.12-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx" I am assuming), however, under it there are file listings such as "gargoyle_1.0.12-wrt54g-squashfs.bin", "gargoyle_1.0.12-wrt54gs-squashfs.bin".... I am assuming that I just use the *.trx file? (as it's the only trx file there)
Also, I assume that I can export/backup my config and import it back once flashed to the new version?

are some related posts.
Looks like you use the one called - wrt54g-squashfs
gargoyle_1.0.12-wrt54g-squashfs.bin
should be the one to use on the WRT54GL
I think you can just use the .bin files to do the upgrade.

I used gargoyle_1.0.12-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx on my routers (all are like yours)
I think you only need the .bin if you are going from the stock Linksys firmware.

You also need to use the .bin one if you're flashing using tftp. Which could happen if you mess up bad enough that you can't login to the web interface any more.

No you don't. You can just rename *.trx to *.bin and it seems to work fine with tftp. Happened to me and I had no problems.
