ispyisail something broke usb access to the cifs share. after applying your fw, i can no longer access my cifs share via user allowed only. i can access the cifs share again only if i give permission as read only anonymous. ftp is fine with or without permission. with the previous release i was able to access cifs shares with/without user.

My bad for posting this issue. Turns out if you start from scratch everything is fine. I did encounter an odd issue where I left the hard drive plugged during upgrade and a second folder appeared with an exact replica of all my folders and files.
