Posted: Sat Oct 06, 2012 5:29 pm
hello,
I have failed at using fonflash to install :-
gargoyle_1.4.7-atheros-root.squashfs
and
gargoyle_1.4.7-atheros-vmlinux.lzma
i follow a guide on here but could not get fonflash to work
after goggling i used somebody's advice on how to unlock
SSH and enable redboot.
I dont know what these actually really do other then what iv read
online but they did allow the fonflash software to work.
this is the out put result:
No packet.
No packet.
Peer MAC: 00:18:84:11:c1:84
Peer IP : 192.168.5.22

Setting IP address...
ip_addr -l 192.168.5.22/8 -h 192.168.5.0
Initializing partitions ...
fis init
loading file:
load -r -b 0x80100000 -m tftp file_1
creating flash partition (this may take some time)
fis create -f 0xa8030000 -l 0x006c0000 -e 0x00000000 rootfs
loading file:
load -r -b 0x80100000 -m tftp file_2
creating flash partition (this may take some time)
fis create -f 0xa86f0000 -l 0x000e0000 -e 0x80041000 -r 0x80041000 vmlinux.bin.l7
Setting boot_script_data...
fis load -l vmlinux.bin.l7
exec
However according to everything i read online fonflash should tell me
its finished .. DONE... but it did nothing so i checked network status
to see if there was anything happening but after 15-20mins the bytes
sent stop and the bytes received keeps working. (looks like it
gets stuck )
So i am confused it looks like it finished but after that i HAVE TO power it down and plug it back in, all i get is a ip and subnet
nothing else
I used a fon2100a/b/c and fon2201 , both did the same thing.
note: the fon2201 was stock and didn't need to enable ssh or redboot
it just worked but then same problem as above and hangs after 15mins
nothing gets sent just keeps receiving bytes.
please help
