Mapping router wireless device for sniffing?

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to map the wireless device of my router to sniff the networks it "sees",I have to say that the router is a TL-WR1043ND with openWRT backfire 10.3.01.

My idea would be mapping the wireless device of the router, wlan0, and once done that use that device as wireless interface for aircrack-ng or Wireshark but running them from the pc. I'e already tried to install aircrack-ng suite on openwrt and it works fine, but I need to read the RFHearder of the sent packets, and if I import the data dump of airdump to wireshark this frame is left out thouhg.

Furthermore, I have tried also to pipe as input for the wireshark, the output of a ssh session in which I run airodump (having used as output both the file and the "direct"output of airdump), however, wirshark seems to have problems undersanding the libcap which leads to close the whole process.

Do you have any suggestion of how I can do this mapping?

Thanks in advance!
