can't see network pc, blocked broadcasting?

I have a westell 7500 dsl modem/router combo that I use to connect to the internet. I installed gargoyle and openwrt on 2 tp-link 841ND v7. One is connected via lan to the westell and set up as a gateway without dhcp (ap), so that the second tp-link is connected to it via wds as a client bridge. All g-wireless devices connect to the westell and all n-wireless devices connect to the tp-link ap.

Everything works great except I cannot see any network devices that are connected to the tp-link routers either via lan or wireless. I can ping the ip addresses of the devices and see them by entering the ip address to open them directly in the explorer folder. But they cannot be seen in the network neighborhood under the group other than itself. I checked the log on westell and saw the packets going to 192.168.2.255 being blocked from those devices connected to tp-link. I search online and found that 192.168.x.255 is used for broadcasting for the router although I am not 100% sure.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

ok, turns out it is the router. not sure why. once I took it off the network, I can see everything in network neighborhood. must be something in openwrt/gargoyle that caused it. oh well, back to stock firmware. hopefully ddwrt will have a new firmware I can use that can finally make wds/client bridge working.
