Firewall restriction is not protecting from pinging

I have blocked some internet IPs, (Only The following hosts, All day, Every Day, All Internet Access), but these hosts are still pingable from internal network.
Router Netgear WNDR3700v2, Gargoyle ver 1.4.3, configuration - Gateway.

Is this normal?
