Gargoyle as a set of packages

Hi everyone.. I was looking for about installing gargoyle in a router unsupported by backfire.. WR842ND, trunk release is the only available yet, but as far i can see, there is only packages for the 2.6 version of linux kernel.. How do i suppose install on that or another router?
Could anybody build a special trunk version for this router?
Like Cezary did for the MR3220.
It has a interesting hardware and price tag combination..
