FON 2202 - Bricked?

Hi there!

After the usual automatic sunday morning reboot I'm not able to access my FON 2202 with 1.4.x Gargoyle. Using it proudly for the last two years.

- I can't access it wireless because the WPA2 key is not recognised
- I can't access it with ssh with any kind of ip i tried
- tried with FonFlash but I get the ARP error.

Any suggestion? I'm completely stuck, and at this point it seems I must start thinking to get another wifi router :-(

Thanks!

Update on the previous post:

- if I send a ping during FON2202 boot, I get some moments of glory after some time:
Request timeout for icmp_seq 30
Request timeout for icmp_seq 31
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=32 ttl=64 time=1.979 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=33 ttl=64 time=1.001 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=34 ttl=64 time=1.072 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=35 ttl=64 time=1.039 ms
Request timeout for icmp_seq 36
Request timeout for icmp_seq 37
Request timeout for icmp_seq 38

I tried to log with ssh or to send a:
echo -e "\0377\0364\0377\0375\0006" >break.bin; sudo nc -vvv 192.168.1.1 9000 < break.bin; telnet 192.168.1.1 9000

in that interval with no results.

Thanks again!

Do you know if your router uses RedBoot in the startup? If so, maybe you can access the RedBoot console and reflash the router. My router is different model and maker, but this worked for me accessing RedBoot: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/3com/3crwer100_75
